for hosting our inaugural Cornhole Tournament fundraiser on 1/21/23. It was a great success and we are looking forward to the next one in April, more details to come soon!
Come out and see us at the "Cowboys for Kids" rodeo this Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10am-4pm. Triple R will have a merch booth at the event, plus it supports a great cause. "Cowboys for Kids" is a non-profit organization sponsoring rodeo events which results in providing funds for children in need. The rodeo is begins at noon and will have mutton busting, mini bucking horses, bull riding, stick horses, and a silent auction. It will be held at Outlaws in Cave Creek, food trucks and kettle corn will also be on-site. Hope to see you there!
Due to COVID-19 Big Bronco had to postpone their 20th Annual Anniversary Sale in 2020. However they decided to put on a Fall Fundraiser in November to benefit Triple R Horse Rescue as well as another local horse rescue (AERO). This 3-day fundraiser was a great success! Triple R even had a kissing booth with one of our previously adopted minis, Bella! Faith Weinberg (the owner) generously donated 10% of Big Bronco sales and also raised a significant donation amount from Raffle sales! She even found another charitable organization that agreed to match her sales donation! 100% of all proceeds donated to Triple R went back to the rescue! It's such an honor to work with such amazing people and we appreciate the continued local support of Big Bronco every year!
The event was a great success thanks to our amazing sponsors, donors, volunteers, supporters, BOD, and community!! A huge thank you to all who helped put on this amazing event, it was so much fun and we had a blast seeing so many familiar faces and meeting so many new people too! The weather was beautiful and the location was fantastic - if you have not been to the Prickly Pear Plaza and checked out all the different shops, you are definitely missing out!! We cannot wait to see you at one of our next events! Thank you so much from all of us at Triple and our herd! All donation/proceeds go directly to the rescue to support the animals, every little bit counts - so again thank you!
A group of miniature donkeys went viral in March 2016 after Triple R was looking to adopt out these adorable minis. All have since found their forever homes!
Arizona artist Sandi Ciaramitaro is onsite at the 27th Annual Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she exhibits If He Follows Us Home, Can I Keep ‘Em, Pa?! Soon to be cast in bronze, the piece depicts Tic the rescued miniature donkey as he follows his friend, Truett, hoping to pluck a piece of hay from his back pocket. The life-size, hand-sculpted portrayal captures the moment with Ciaramitaro’s characteristic combination of soft naturalism and precision detailing.
On May 9th and 10th, the Mountain View office of UBS Financial visited Triple R Horse Rescue to donate some “working ranch” hours and learn about our rescue horses. The groups worked from 7 am – noon mucking stalls, cleaning up the ranch, grooming horses, learning horse handling and safety skills and learning how to rope. We memorialized the event with fun photos and videos and a few people acquired nicknames based on their excellent rope handling skills. After two successful days, UBS Financial made a generous donation to the rescue which will help support us through the long hot summer. If your group or office is interested in contributing manual labor to the rescue or want a fun team-building venue, please contact us.
"The Cave Creek Rodeo Days Booth saw people from all over the State of Arizona, from Yuma all the way to the Four Corners area. Rodeo goers were excited to learn about Triple R and share stories of their own horses. We had a fun time visiting with people and selling a lot of the new Triple R merchandise to our new friends. If you would like to see all the pictures, please look at our Facebook Page."
