Horses come to Triple R Horse Rescue from many different sources; however, a large number of our horses are owner surrenders. These horses are turned over by owners who can no longer care for them. Surrendering your horse can be a very difficult decision to make, and we respect that. We are happy to answer questions you may have to help you make an informed decision.
Applications to Triple R Horse Rescue for owner surrenders are always accepted. However, it is important to understand that we may not be able to accept your horse immediately, if ever, and we examine each and every application immediately as they come in. The first responsibility of Triple R is to receive, rehabilitate, and rehome horses; we evaluate each surrender application based on available space and the level of need for each applicant.
You have decided that you need to surrender your horse – what now?
The first step in the surrender process is to complete and submit a surrender application. Once we receive your application, we will contact you regarding our current space & availability.
The following information/documentation must be provided prior to intake:
Completed Surrender Application
Current Photos
Current Vet Docs
Horse registration paperwork (if applicable)
When you are ready:
